Anantnag: An armed forces personnel was injured in an ongoing military operation against militants that started in Nowgam area of Shahabad Dooru village in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said on Wednesday.

A police official said that a joint team of police, Army, and CRPF after receiving information about the presence of militants launched a search operation in the area.
He said that as the joint team of armed forces intensified searches towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them triggering the operation.
