139 COVID cases, one death reported in last 24 hours in JK

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported 139 COVID cases while one person died due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Thursday.

37 of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu and 102 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 341167.

One death was reported from Jammu due to the virus during the last 24 hours, they said.

So far, 4,526 persons—2,198 in Jammu and 2,328 in Kashmir—have died due to the virus, they said.

Moreover, 120 COVID patients recovered during the time, 19 from Jammu and 101 from Kashmir, they said.

So far, 335347 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 1294— 382 in Jammu and 912 in Kashmir.

They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 50 black fungus cases have been confirmed in JK, the officials said.

They also informed that 91585 doses of COVID vaccine were administered during the time in JK.
