Bandipora: An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was found and subsequently defused by the bomb disposal squad in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Saturday, police said.
A senior police officer said that the IED was detected by the personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police and 14 RR in an Orchard in Bagh area of the district.
He said the bomb disposal squad team including a joint of armed forces reached the spot and defused it without any damage.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered in this regard and further investigations have been taken up.
