Anantnag: A Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel was shot dead by suspected militants in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday, officials said.
A police official said that the Head Constable of JK police Ali Mohammad, son of Ghulam Qadir Ganie, was fired upon by militants at Hassapora area, leaving him critically injured.
He was shifted to Government Medical College Anantnag where doctors declared him dead.
“He was brought dead,” a doctor from GMC Anantnag said. (GNS)
