Shopian: A militant has been killed in an ongoing military operation in Nadigam area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district, police said on Wednesday.
Police said that one militant has been killed in an ongoing operation, however, the identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained.
The operation started after a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.
He said that as the joint team of armed forces approached the suspected spot, militants fired upon them triggering the operation.
