Kulgam: A military operation against militants has started in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, police said.
Police officials said that the operation started in Mishipora village of Kulgam district as armed forces received information about the presence of militants in the area.
The operation is being conducted by a joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Indian Army, and personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force.
The official confirmed the exchange of fire between armed forces personnel and militants in Mishipora.
