Kulgam: A military operation against militants started in Nowpora-Kherpora area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday, police said.
According to Kashmir Police Zone, as they wrote on twitter, “Encounter has started at Nowpora-Kherpora, Trubji area of Kulgam. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow.”
The operation was started after a joint team of armed forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area, the officials said.
