The booked person is the kingpin of a vehicle lifting gangs operating in various districts of J&K, especially in Budgam. There was huge resentment among the public for his involvement in repeated criminal activities of car lifting/theft incidents as such there was every likelihood of turning said issue of car lifting into law and order problems, police said.

Community members are once again advised to be aware of such thieves/fraudsters who steal the vehicles and thereafter sell these to innocent gullible people.
