30 kg IED recovered in south Kashmir, says police

Pulwama: Armed forces on Wednesday recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by militants in Pulwama district of south Kashmir.

Officials said that IED planted by militants near Tahab crossing on Circular road in Pulwama was detected and recovered by the armed forces.

ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that an IED weighing around 25 to 30 Kgs was recovered on a circular road in Pulwama by a joint team of police and army personnel.

“An IED weighing approx. 25 to 30 Kgs recovered near Tahab Crossing on Circular road in Pulwama by Police and Security Forces. A major tragedy has been averted by specific input generated by Pulwama Police.” Kashmir Police Zone tweeted while quoting ADGP Kashmir.
