Bijbehara: A Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel was critically injured on Friday after militants attack a joint armed forces party in a militant attack in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, police said.
Police officials said that militants fired upon a special police officer (Special Police Officer) in Kir Kadal area of Bijbehara, resulting in critical injuries to the cop.
He said that soon after the incident the injured SPO was immediately rushed to Sub District Hospital Bijbehara for treatment, where his condition is said to be critical.
He has been identified as Ghulam Qadir and was posted at Police Station Bijbehara. The official added that the area has been cordoned off and searches are going on.
