New Delhi: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has commenced the online application process for the National Eligibility Test or UGC NET 2022. Eligible candidates can apply for the exams on the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in till January 17, 2023, up to 5.00 PM.
The exam will be conducted in between February 21 – March 10, 2023, as per the UGC guidelines.
The said exam is conducted twice every year in the month of June and December. It is conducted for multiple subjects. The candidates are selected as per their proficiency in it.
Candidates who possess a Master’s degree and have secured 55 per cent marks are eligible. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD/OBC categories have a relaxation and may apply if they have secured 50 per cent marks. Those who have appeared or will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed are also eligible.
Applicants must not be of the age of more than 31 years. There is a relaxation off up to 5 years for candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST/PwD, transgender and Women applicants. There will not be any age limit for eligibility for Assistant Professor.
The documents required for filling form of UGC-NET 2023 include Marks sheet of last qualifying exam, Marks sheet of Bachelors, Marks sheet of Classes 10th and 12th, identity proof, domicile certificate and category certificate if any.
The application fee for filling the form is Rs 1100 for unreserved candidates, Rs 550 for candidates belonging to EWS and OBC and Rs 275 for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD and transgender candidates.
