The government of India has decided to deploy additional 1,800 armed forces personnel in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district following an attack and explosion that left six people dead.
Eighteen companies of the Central Reserve Police Force, around 1,800 personnel, are to be deployed in Rajouri, NDTV reported.
Following the killing, massive protests were witnessed in the district as they hold the local administration responsible. The report said hundreds of armed forces personnel have been engaged in a massive search operation to track down militants behind the attack.
