Baramulla: A massive fire broke out in a residential house in Jalal Sahib area of Old Town in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
An official said that a massive fire broke out in a two-storey residential house at old Town Baramulla following which fire tenders rushed to the spot.
Efforts are on to douse the flames and prevent the fire from spreading, as the area is congested, he said.
Meanwhile, a hotel was damaged in a fire incident in Kullan village of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district this morning.
The fire broke out in Himalaya Resort in Kullan village today morning, an official said. He said soon after the incident fire tenders reached the spot and doused off the flames, however, the hotel suffered partial damage.
In this regard, police have taken cognizance of the incident, and the cause of the fire was being ascertained. (KNO)
