Srinagar: All flights at the Srinagar airport are delayed due to low visibility after fresh snowfall on Saturday morning.
Airport authorities said that flights have been delayed due to inclement weather. They said that operations will commence once the weather improves.
Farooq Ahmed, a Delhi-bound passenger told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that the Air Asia flight that was scheduled to leave for Delhi early morning has been delayed, and now it is being informed that it will hit the sky at around 2:30, in case the weather improves.
There are hundreds of passengers stranded at the Airport due to delayed flights.
Notably, parts of Kashmir Valley experienced light rainfall and snowfall.
Most of Kashmir Valley as well as some Banihal and Bhaderwah areas of Jammu received snowfall on Saturday, officials said.
Also, barring Srinagar and Qazigund, the minimum temperatures recorded a fall in Jammu and Kashmir.
The weather department has forecast rain and snowfall in JK during the next few days. [KNT]
