Indore: A mob of over 100 men on Saturday, 21 January allegedly crashed a birthday party in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore and physically assaulted at least five Muslim boys who were part of the celebration.

A 24-year-old Hindu woman was celebrating her birthday with her friends when the mob led by members of Hindu right-wing organisation, Bajrang Dal, barged into her flat and physically assaulted her male Muslim friends, The Quint reported.

They then took them to Indore’s MIG Colony police station where the police sent them to jail. The videos of the incident went viral on Sunday, 22 January, the report said.

In one of the videos, a large crowd can be seen climbing the stairs of a multi-storey building. In another video, a masked man was caught beating one of the male friends inside the private residence.

The mob then transported them to Indore’s MIG Colony police station and got them arrested there. They also forced the woman to lodge a complaint of ‘love Jihad’, however, she refused to do so.
