Indian national flag unfurled at Ghanta Ghar in Lal Chowk amid heavy deployment of armed forces

Srinagar: Amid the presence of heavy deployment of armed forces, the national flag of India was unfurled at Ghanta Ghar in Lal Chowk Srinagar on January 26, 2023.

The BJP organised the flag rally, which was attended by party members from various locations and was led by the spokesperson for the party in Jammu and Kashmir.

A group from the Kashmir division of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad also participated in the demonstration, carrying banners and signs that read Bharat Mata ki Jai and Vande Mataram.

At the SMC central office in Srinagar, the flag was raised by Srinagar’s mayor, Junaid Azim Mattu.

The flag-unfurling event was held early in the morning. The ceremony was attended by Commissioner Athar Amir Khan, Chairman of Health, Sanitation Arif Majeed Pampori, Corporators and other senior officials and staff members from the corporation.

Officials lauded the efforts of SMC officials for facilitating the ‘smooth’ events on the occasion of January 26 in Srinagar.
