Srinagar: Amid fresh snowfall in the Kashmir Valley, the authorities have suspended flight operations at Srinagar international airport due to low visibility.

Director Srinagar Airport, Kuldeep Singh said that all the flights scheduled so far have been delayed in view of fresh snowfall and low visibility.

He said the decision to resume flight operations will be taken after improvement in visibility and weather conditions.

Notably, the meteorological department has predicted more snow and rains across the Kashmir Valley today.

“Widespread light to moderate snowfall and rain was expected in Kashmir and hilly areas of Jammu with chances of heavy snowfall over higher reaches during next 24 hours,” a meteorological department official said.
