Srinagar: A Katra resident was found in Batamallo area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Saturday afternoon.
An official said that a 40-year-old man was found unconscious at Batamallo bus stand following which police was informed.
He said that the man identified as Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Katra, was shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Police have started an investigation in this regard.
Meanwhile, an elderly man died after falling from a slab in Watchi village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday
The man identified as Mohammad Abdullah, 70, of Watchi Zainpora fell from the slab of his house today morning. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital; however, doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident. (KNO)
