Anantnag: A military operation against militants is underway in Anderwan Sagam hamlet of Kokarnag in south Kashmir’s Anantnag on Sunday morning.
Police officials said that a joint team of Police, army’ and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.
As the joint teams of forces approached the suspected spot, they said, the hiding militants fired upon them which was retaliated, triggering the operation.
