Body of minor drowned in Bemina flood channel recovered

The SDRF team had recovered the body near Hokarsar.

Srinagar: The body of a minor, who drowned in the flood channel at Hamdaniya Colony, Bemina, Srinagar on Sunday, has been fished out near Hokarsar.

An official from SDRF told the news agency Kashmir News Observer that the body of Ikhlaas, a local resident of Hamdaniya Colony, Bemina, who drowned in the flood channel, has been recovered near Hokarsar, and now is being handed over to the family for last rites.

The rescue operation to retrieve the body was started soon after the boy drowned in the flood channel and continued for three straight days.
