JK Admin names 31 schools, road after slain armed forces personnel

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir administration has announced naming of 31 schools across JK and a link road after the names of slain armed forces personnel.

Seventeen slain personnel after whom different schools were named include Abdul Aziz Dar, SI, Chand Mohammad Khan, Ct., in district Kupwara Amanullah Khan, SI, Amir Hussain Lone, SgCt, Ghulam Mohiudin, Ct, Gulzar Ahmad Shah, Ct., Kafeel Ahmad Mir, ASI, Abdul Rashid Malik, Inspector, in district Kulgam Mohammad Yaqoob Shah, SgCt.

In Bandipora district Abdul Khaliq Bhat, HC. In Ganderbal district Gh. Mohidin Sheikh, Ct., in Anantnag Rashid Shah, ASI. In Pulwama district Mohammad Ashraf Dar, Inspector, Feroz Ahmad Dar, SI. In Poonch district Mohd Mushtaq Malik, SgCt. In Jammu district Kuldeep Kumar, SgCt., Mohan Lal Sharma, ASI, a police spokesperson said in a statement.

Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh has extended his gratitude to Government of India, Lt. Governor Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha and his administration for this initiative.

“Such a wonderful initiative by the government would immortalise the brave hearts who sacrificed their lives while protecting sovereignty and integrity of the nation,” he said, adding, the nation is indebted to their supreme sacrifices.
