Patna: In a distressing incident in Patna, Bihar, a Dalit woman found herself subjected to a horrifying ordeal on Saturday night. Allegedly, she was stripped, brutally assaulted, and even forced to consume urine by a father-son duo.
This dreadful incident occurred because she had declined their demand for more money, despite having already repaid a loan of Rs 15,00, India Today reported.
The victim sustained grave head injuries and is presently hospitalised in a critical condition while receiving treatment. According to the police account, Pramod Singh, along with his son Anshu and four others, forcibly entered the Dalit woman’s residence around 10 pm on Saturday night and forcibly transported her to their home.
At their place, she was subjected to a brutal assault, stripped naked, and severely beaten with sticks. Shockingly, Pramod Singh ordered his son to urinate in the woman’s mouth.
Fortunately, the victim managed to escape and return to her home. Her complaint reveals that she had initially borrowed Rs 1,500 with interest from Pramod Singh a few months ago and had repaid the money along with interest.
Nonetheless, the accused persisted in demanding additional funds, which she firmly refused to provide. Pramod had even threatened her, stating that they would shame her by making her walk naked in the village if she did not comply with their demands.
It is claimed that the woman had previously reported these threats to the police, but unfortunately, no action was taken, the report said.
This heinous incident has provoked outrage in the area, with the victim’s family and the entire Dalit community demanding immediate action. Both of the accused, Pramod Singh and his son, are currently on the run after the incident.
