Rajouri: A military operation against militants has started in Broh village of Rajouri district in south Kashmir.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Observer said that a Cordon and Search Operation was going on in Broh and Soom villages of Rajouri since Monday morning and intense searches were going on.
They said that some gunshots were heard from the area on Monday afternoon but they were termed as ‘speculative fire’ by official sources.
In late evening hours, official sources told KNO the the contact got established between forces and militants hiding in the forest and intense firing is going on with heavy exchange of fire between both the sides. The firing was going on when the last reports were received, they said.
