Kulgam: A military operation against militants has started in Kujjar area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday, police said on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, the operation begun after a joint team of armed forces including Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and Central Reserve Police Force received input about the presence of militants in Kujjar area.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, the Kashmir Zone Police wrote, “Encounter has started at Kujjar area of Kulgam. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow.”
