No Friday prayers at Jamia Masjid, Mirwaiz put under house arrest: Anjuman Auqaf

Srinagar: Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid has informed that for the third consecutive week, Friday prayers have been disallowed at Jama Masjid Srinagar as gates of the mosque were closed by the authorities, 

Mirwaiz, who addresses the Friday congregation there, was also put under house arrest. He said that such measures belie the claims of normalcy made by the administration, Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid has informed.

“For the third consecutive week, Friday mandatory prayers disallowed at Jama Masjid Srinagar : AAJ Mirwaiz again placed under house detention, barred from delivering sermon at Jama Masjid for 3rd consecutive Friday,” Mirwaiz Manzil wrote on social media giant X, formerly know as Twitter.
