Kashmir situation not normal, Govt misleading people: Omar

Srinagar: National Conference (NC) Vice President and former chief minister of erstwhile JK State, Omar Abdullah has said that the situation in Kashmir has not changed, but the government has been misleading people about it.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the function here at Nawa-e-Subha, Omar, as per the news agency Kashmir News Observer, said that wish that the targeted attacks are stopped.

“We are pained to see the targeting attacks in Kashmir. Whenever the statements about the improvement in situation are being issued, we are witnessing the targeted attacks. Both civilians as well as police personnel are becoming the victims. The government should speak the truth about the situation in Kashmir,” he said.

He added everybody knows that the situation is not normal in Kashmir, but the government has been misleading the people about it.
