Kulgam: A military operation against militants has started in Samnoo area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thrusday.
A senior police oofficer said that a team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Samnoo area after receiving specific input.
As the joint team approached towards the suspected area, the hiding militants fired upon the joint party, leading to the operation , the officer added.
