Patna: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament from Patna, Ram Kripal Yadav, has reiterated the party’s endorsement of a caste-based census in Bihar. Yadav dismissed opposition claims of political posturing, asserting that the opposition lacks substantive issues for discussion.

Yadav emphasized the party’s commitment to inclusive governance, stating, “There is an attempt to give political colour to this issue as the opposition has no other issue to discuss. PM Modi has always worked to provide proper representation to the poor, Dalits, and tribals.”

The call for a caste-based census in Bihar has been a recurrent topic of debate, with proponents arguing that it is essential for ensuring accurate and targeted social welfare policies. The BJP’s stance reflects its ongoing efforts to address the concerns of diverse socio-economic groups, particularly those belonging to marginalised communities.

As the political discourse unfolds, the BJP remains steadfast in its position, affirming that their support for a caste-based census is rooted in the pursuit of equitable representation and effective policy formulation for the benefit of all citizens, irrespective of caste or socio-economic background.
