Pulwama: A notorious drug peddler was arrested in Lassipora area of Pulwama and six kilograms of cannabis powder was seized from his possession, police said on Wednesday.
The contraband was concealed within polyethylene bags hidden within plastic buckets, near the wall of a cowshed. The accused person involved in this illicit activity has been identified as Ghulam Nabi Bhat, son of Assadulla Bhat, resident of Petipora Lassipora, said a senior police official.
A case has been promptly registered against Ghulam Nabi Bhat, and a thorough investigation is currently underway to identify and bring all involved perpetrators to justice. The operation was conducted under the supervision of superintendent of police Choudhary Iftkhar Ahmed JKPS additional and overall supervision of superintendent of police PD Nitya IPS
