At least seven Palestinians were killed on Wednesday when an Israeli warplane bombed a house in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, Anadolu Agency reported.

Medical teams recovered the bodies, which included women and children, and there were also an unspecified number of wounded, according to eyewitnesses speaking to an Anadolu correspondent.

The witnesses reported that the bombardment destroyed a house belonging to the al-Shami family and caused significant damage to nearby homes sheltering displaced people. Medical teams and civil defense personnel are still searching for the dead and injured at the site.

Israel has been conducting a brutal offensive on the Gaza Strip since an attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on October 7 last year. Since then, over 35,700 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed, and nearly 80,000 others injured.

Eight months into the genocide, large areas of Gaza are in ruins, exacerbated by a severe blockade on food, clean water, and medicine. Israel faces accusations of genocide at the International Court of Justice, which has ordered it to prevent acts of genocide and ensure humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza.
