New Delhi: Delhi’s Patiala House Court has granted interim bail to Sheikh Rashid, also known as Engineer Rashid, a Member of Parliament from Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla constituency, in a militancy funding case until October 2.
Rashid has been imprisoned in Delhi’s Tihar Jail since 2019, following his 2017 arrest by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in connection with a 2017 militancy funding case.
