Bandipora: Naseer Lone, the BJP candidate for the Bandipora constituency, made strong remarks on Thursday, claiming that the Awami Ittihad Party (AIP) is on its way to becoming a new Hurriyat-like group in Kashmir.

Speaking to reporters after filing his nomination papers at the Assistant Returning Officer’s office in Bandipora-A, Lone said the rise of the BJP has led to the decline of the Hurriyat in the valley, but he cautioned that the AIP could revive it.

Addressing doubts about BJP’s presence in Bandipora, Lone pointed out that the party has secured mandates in all three constituencies in the district. “This is a clear answer to those who believe the BJP has no influence in Bandipora,” he stated.

Lone also reaffirmed the BJP’s dedication to improving the lives of the people of Kashmir, stressing that the party remains committed to their welfare.
