Srinagar: As the final phase of polls for assbly segment are underway in 40 assembly constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir, 65.48% polling percentage was recorded till 5pm, Chief Electoral Officer said.
District Bandipora, comprising Sonawari, Bandipora, and Gurez constituencies, reported varied turnout figures. Sonawari led with a 65.56% turnout, while Bandipora saw 58.60% voter participation. Gurez registered the highest in the district with a remarkable 75.89%.
Bandipora district’s cumulative turnout stood at 63.33%, reflecting an active participation of voters as polling day continues.
The final voter turnout is expected to increase as polling proceeds until the scheduled closing time.
