Israel launched another wave of airstrikes, targeting Beirut’s southern suburbs and blocking a major border crossing between Lebanon and Syria, impacting thousands fleeing the bombardment, Ap reported.

The strikes in the Dahiyeh neighbourhood caused widespread destruction, leveling buildings and burning cars, while the Israeli military claimed to have hit Hezbollah’s central intelligence headquarters.

Lebanon’s National News Agency reported over 10 airstrikes in the area. Since Israel’s intensified attacks in late September, around 1,400 Lebanese, including Hezbollah fighters and civilians, have been killed, and 1.2 million displaced.

In southern Lebanon, Salah Ghandour Hospital in Bint Jbeil was shelled after being told to evacuate, leaving nine medical staff seriously injured. Hezbollah retaliated by launching 100 rockets into Israel.

Additionally, Israeli forces said a previous strike killed Mohammed Rashid Skafi, Hezbollah’s communications chief.
