At least four people have been confirmed dead and around 70 injured after Israeli jets bombed a tent camp housing displaced Palestinians at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital grounds in Deir el-Balah. Rescue teams are working urgently, with the death toll expected to rise, Al Jazeera reported.
In a separate incident, 22 people were killed and 80 injured when Israeli tanks shelled a school sheltering displaced Palestinians in Nuseirat, central Gaza. The attacks have left widespread devastation in the region.
Meanwhile, in northern Israel, a Hezbollah drone attack on an army base in Binyamina killed four Israeli soldiers and severely injured seven others, according to the Israeli military.
Since October 2023, the death toll in Gaza has surged to over 42,227, with at least 98,464 injured in Israeli strikes. In Israel, 1,139 people were killed in a Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, with more than 200 people taken hostage.
The ongoing violence continues to escalate, raising concerns over the worsening humanitarian crisis in the region.
