At least 29 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes across Gaza on Tuesday morning, according to local reports, with strikes hitting areas like Khan Younis, Nuseirat camp, and Jabalia camp.
Over the past year, Israel’s actions in Gaza have led to the deaths of over 42,000 Palestinians and displaced nearly the entire population of 2.3 million.
The ongoing Israeli assault has worsened an already severe humanitarian crisis, with critical shortages of food, clean water, and medical supplies due to a prolonged blockade.
Attempts by the US, Egypt, and Qatar to broker a cease-fire and facilitate a prisoner exchange between Israel and Hamas have stalled, largely due to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s refusal to agree to a halt in hostilities.
At the same time, Israel has expanded its military operations into Lebanon, conducting air and ground raids as regional tensions rise.
Israel is currently facing genocide charges at the International Court of Justice for its actions in Gaza.
