Four dead, 4 injured in separate road mishaps in Reasi and Banihal

Jammu: Four people were dead and four others injured in two separate road accidents in Reasi and Banihal districts, officials said on Wednesday.

In the Reasi district, a dumper vehicle with registration number UP85ET4951 lost control and plunged into a deep gorge in the Gulabpura area early this morning, resulting in the deaths of two persons.

Their identities are currently being ascertained, and police have registered a case while investigations are underway, the official said.

In Banihal, another accident occurred near the Magarkote flyover, where a vehicle (registration number PB36-J-3100) carrying passengers met with an accident. A driver and a woman were killed, while four others sustained injuries.

The injured have been shifted to the sub-district hospital Banihal for treatment. All passengers involved are reported to be from Maharashtra. Police have also registered a case in this incident, and investigations are underway.
