Mumbai: Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who is currently hosting the reality show ‘Bigg Boss 18,’ has reportedly received another death threat, with an anonymous caller demanding Rs 2 crore.
This incident follows the recent arrest of a man from Noida for threatening Salman. The Worli police have filed a case against an unknown person who sent several WhatsApp messages to the Mumbai Police’s Traffic Helpline, seeking Rs 2 crore from the actor.
Earlier, a man from Jharkhand, who had sent similar threats, later apologised after claiming to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and initially demanding Rs5 crore. Salman has faced threats from the Bishnoi gang, due to the black buck poaching case from the 1990s, as the Bishnoi community regards the animal as sacred.
Recently, Salman’s close friend and politician, Baba Siddique, was shot dead near his office in Bandra on October 12. Baba, a member of the Ajit Pawar faction of the NCP, was known for hosting high-profile Iftar parties, including the 2013 event where Salman and Shah Rukh Khan publicly reconciled after a long-standing feud.
