Awantipora: Awantipora police on Tuesday arrested three persons and seized their three vehicles for their involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals.
The trio has been identified as Tariq Ahmad Shah, son of Mohd Yaseen Shah, a resident of Mandakpal; Mohd Ashraf Shah, son of Jalal din, a resident of Mandakpal and Nisar Ahmad Ahanger, son of Mohd Kamal, a resident of Sharshali and seized three vehicles (tippers) bearing registration numbers JK 13B-8211, JK01M-5270 & JK-13F 4742 involved in illegal extraction of mineral in Mandakpal Khrew.
Accordingly, case vide FIR 106-107/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered in police station Khrew and further investigation has been initiated.
