Shopian: In a crackdown on drug trafficking, Shopian Police seized a residential house worth ₹14.76 lakhs and ₹6 lakh cash belonging to Farooq Ahmad Koka of Melhura Zainapora under the NDPS Act.
The property, linked to FIR No. 36/2024, was identified as proceeds of narcotics trafficking. The action was carried out in the presence of police and an Executive Magistrate, adhering to legal procedures.
Locals have welcomed the move as part of ongoing efforts to curb drug-related activities in the district.
