Hamas has agreed to a draft ceasefire proposal for the Gaza Strip and the release of dozens of hostages, according to Associated Press, which quoted two officials involved in the negotiations on Tuesday.
Mediator Qatar stated the talks are at their “closest point” to finalizing an agreement.
The Associated Press obtained a copy of the proposed deal, confirmed as authentic by both an Egyptian official and a Hamas representative. An Israeli official noted significant progress, though details are still being finalized. The agreement will require approval from the Israeli Cabinet.
