Kishtwar: In a distressing incident highlighting the lack of proper healthcare and road infrastructure, a pregnant woman was forced to give birth on the Bounjwah-Patnazi road in Kishtwar district due to the ‘absence of medical assistance’.

The woman’s family had reached out to the district administration for help, but no assistance arrived in time. With poor road connectivity delaying any possibility of reaching a hospital, the family had no choice but to manage the delivery on their own.
