End support for Israel’s Gaza genocide, stop killing Yemenis: Iran

US-UK airstrikes on Sanaa, Yemen.

Iran’s foreign minister asserted on Sunday that the US has no authority to dictate Iran’s foreign policy, stating that “that era ended in 1979.”

Seyed Abbas Araghchi criticised the Biden administration for allocating a record $23 billion to Israel last year, claiming that over 60,000 Palestinians have been killed and that the US bears full responsibility.

Responding to Washington’s call to halt support for the Houthis in Yemen, Araghchi fired back: “End support for Israel’s genocide and terrorism. Stop killing the people of Yemen.”

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that the US military had launched strikes in Sanaa, Yemen. He also warned Iran against backing the group, declaring that “support for Houthi terrorists must end immediately.”

Trump further cautioned Tehran not to issue threats against the US or its leadership, vowing that “America will hold you fully accountable, and we will not be kind about it.”
