Jammu: A military operation against militants has started in Basantgarh area of Udhampur on Thursday morning, the Indian Army confirmed.
In a post on X, Army’s White Knight Corps said based on a specific input, a joint operation was launched in the Bihali arwa of Basantgarh. The army said contact has been established with militants and the operation is in progress.
“Based on specific intelligence, a joint operation was launched by Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in the Bihali area of Basantgarh. Contact has been established with terrorists. The operation is currently in progress,” said the army statement.
