Polling for 2025–27 term being held at Government Arts Emporium; counting to follow immediately
Srinagar: Elections for the Executive Committee of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) are underway today for the term 2025–27.
The polling started at the Kashmir Government Arts Emporium, near the GPO in Srinagar, at 10 am and will end at 5 pm. Votes will be counted immediately after the conclusion of polling on the same day.
Officials said the elections are being conducted under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar and the KCCI Election Commission. Observers from various government departments and banks are overseeing polling and counting to ensure transparency and fairness.
The elections were initially scheduled for September 22, 2025, but were postponed following a directive from the district administration.
