India supports two-state solution for Palestine, says Modi
Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on Tuesday reaffirmed India’s support for a Two-State Solution for Palestine, stressing that dialogue and diplomacy remain the most effective means of resolving global disputes.
Speaking during his two-day visit to Indonesia, Modi said the current global situation underscores the growing importance of peaceful engagement and diplomatic efforts.
Addressing a gathering, the Prime Minister said India believes enduring peace can only be achieved through dialogue. He reiterated New Delhi’s long-standing position on Palestine, stating that India supports a Two-State Solution and lasting peace in the region.
Modi also said the India-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, established in 2018, is entering a new phase with deeper cooperation across development, security, technology, culture and education.
Describing bilateral ties as entering a new era, he said both countries are taking significant steps to strengthen collaboration across multiple sectors.
Highlighting the shared historical and cultural bonds between India and Indonesia, Modi expressed confidence that the two nations would jointly pursue their long-term development goals, including Indonesia Emas and Viksit Bharat.
Calling the partnership a milestone, the Prime Minister said a new chapter in India-Indonesia relations has begun and that its benefits would extend beyond the two countries to contribute positively to the wider world.
