Two people were killed and six others remained hospitalised after Russian attacks on petrol station in Kyiv, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said Friday.
The latest attack hit petrol station in Kyiv, Klitschko said, adding that emergency services were responding to the aftermath. The strikes came a day after a Russian drone hit an Ukrnafta petrol station in the city, injuring four people, Ukrainian officials said.
The State Emergency Service said Russian drones hit two petrol stations in Dniprovskyi and Obolonskyi districts of Kyiv in 10 minutes on Friday. Five people, including a rescuer, were originally reported wounded in the attacks.
The strikes are part of a wider Russian air assault on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities. Ukrainian officials accuse Moscow of targeting civilian and economic infrastructure deliberately to scare the population but Russia denies targeting civilians.
Klitschko has urged residents not to linger at petrol stations during air raid alerts as attacks continue.
