Regional authorities said a Russian strike Monday hit a key infrastructure facility in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, and the assessment of the damage is already underway.
Ukrainian media said the strike was reported by Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration. He did not immediately say what type of weapon was used or how much damage was done.
The attack was one of a series of Russian strikes across Ukraine. Ukrainian authorities said on Monday that infrastructure and civilian sites had been damaged in several regions, including in Zaporizhzhia and Poltava.
There was no immediate information on casualties, and details of the damage at the Dnipro facility were still being determined.
Dnipro, an industrial city in central Ukraine, has been hit numerous times by Russian drones and missiles since the war began. Earlier strikes in September hit businesses, warehouses and other infrastructure in the city and surrounding Dnipropetrovsk region.
