Houses in Doda develop cracks, panic grips village

Doda: In Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district more than 20 residential houses have developed cracks, NDTV reported.

The cracks in the houses have triggered panic among the residents.

Amid the panicking situation, the report said, inhabitants whose houses developed the cracks, have been shifted to safer places and experts have been directed to visit the place to ascertain the cause.

There are around 50 houses in the village Nai Basti.

The report quoting sources said that several factors including construction of roads and seepage of water may have caused the soil shifting in the hilly village.
