Srinagar: A total of 559 votes were polled in the elections for the Executive Committee of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) for the 2025–27 term on Monday.
Voting, held at the Kashmir Government Arts Emporium near the GPO, concluded at 5pm.
As per officials, counting of votes would begin shortly, and results are expected within the next two hours. The polling, which began at 10 am, was conducted under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar and the KCCI Election Commission.
Observers from various government departments and banks monitored the process to ensure transparency and fairness.
The elections were earlier scheduled for September 22 but were postponed following a directive from the district administration.
